16: Come Away, Death
Recording Artists: Iain Burnside & Sophie Bevan
This is one of Two Songs from Shakespeare published by Shaw, the other being When that I was and a Little Tiny Boy. Both songs come from Twelfth Night, and are sung by Feste the Fool or Clown, who is attached to the household of the Countess Olivia.
There is no dedication to these songs.
Shaw also set the words to music for SATB, quite a different musical interpretation to the one written for a solo voice.
